This year we are excited about a great new food item, “Tiropita” (“Cheese Pie”) - you’ll love it!

The Festival’s “Bake Sale” will offer a variety of fabulous Greek Pastries, including every Greek food lover’s favorite – Baklava! Children’s activities will include face painting, games and an inflatable bouncy room ride. August is hot in Minnesota, and our Greek Café will be serving ice-cold coffee drinks, and ice cream sundaes.

In addition to the delicious Greek food and pastries, St. George’s Greek Festival will feature Greek folk dance performances by the “Greek Dancers of Minnesota”, and hourly Church Tours. Greek vocalist Dino Adamidis will be joining us again in 2008 to sing his favorite Greek songs.

Hourly Church Tours offer the Twin Cities community the opportunity to learn about the Eastern Orthodox Church – the oldest Christian church in the world. Although little known in America, Orthodox Christianity counts more than 250 million faithful from all corners of the globe. Come find out why hundreds of millions of people have chosen to partake in this awesome and wonderful Christian communion!

Please call the St. George church office at (651) 222-6220 if you have questions, or would like additional information about this year’s Festival. A portion of the proceeds from the St. George 2008 Greek Festival will be donated to benevolence and mission programs that serve the community.
